Bror Alexander Utter : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bror Alexander Utter Bror Alexander Utter (1913-1983) was an American artist, and a member of the Fort Worth Circle. His grandfather was a Finnish artist. Bror Utter studied under Ella Ray Ledgerwood and Sallie Gillespie. He attended Fort Worth School of Fine Arts, studying etching and painting, and also worked at his father's lithographic printing company. His first exhibition in 1936 was a success; his themes were taken from theatrical life, and regional landscapes. Four years later he enrolled at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, studying under Boardman Robinson and Otis Dozier. From this time Bror Utter's style began to change to a "organic, biomorphic abstraction". In October 1944, he exhibited along with the other Fort Worth artists at Weyhe Galleries in New York City, and the following year he showed at the Brooklyn Museum. ==References==
